Kristin Fisher joined CNN in 2021. She will be the Space and Defense Correspondent. In that role, she covers all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial companies in space and the rise of space tourism. Kristin was mother of NASA astronauts, and also a space enthusiast, grew up immersed in the industry. She worked for five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Trump and Biden Administrations. As she covered the impeachment trials of two presidents, 2020's Presidential Campaign, and both administrations attempts to stop the spread of coronavirus, Kristin covered a lot of other topics. Kristin traveled frequently, and both with the vice president and president. She was even on a secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Kristin was a fixture in the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for over a decade before joining the network. She was awarded an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as a CBS affiliate's single-man reporter. Kristin made use of her experiences behind the lens to start Field Mouse Films.
